Ticket Terms & Conditions of Purchase

These terms and conditions apply to the purchase of tickets to the EWIT Gala 2026 (the “Event”), hosted by Empowered Women in Trades (ABN 94 646 510 161) (“EWIT”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing a ticket, you (“you”, the “attendee”) agree to these terms.

1. The Event

  • 1.1The Event will be held on 10 October 2026 at The Timberyard, Port Melbourne, Victoria. Start and finish times will be confirmed on your ticket and/or by email.

    1.2The program, speakers, award recipients, entertainment and running order may change without notice.

2. Tickets and pricing

  • 2.1All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST.

    2.2Ticket types are: Individual ($297), the Village Group of 10 ($2,970), and Apprentice tickets (free if accepted by application - see clause 4).

    2.3The price shown is the full price - no booking or transaction fees apply.

    2.4Your purchase is confirmed only once payment has been processed and you have received a confirmation email. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide at purchase.

    2.5Tickets are for personal, non-commercial use and must not be resold for profit, or used for advertising, promotion or competitions, without our written consent.

3. Group bookings (Village Group of 10)

  • 3.1A Group of 10 guarantees your group is seated together. Seating at the Event is on shared long banquet tables - a group booking is seated together along a shared table, alongside other guests.

    3.2The lead booker is responsible for providing the name, dietary and accessibility details for all ten guests by the cut-off dates in clause 7.

4. Apprentice tickets

  • 4.1Apprentice tickets are free, limited in number, and allocated by application success - subject to eligibility and availability, at EWIT’s discretion.

    4.2Apprentice tickets are non-transferable and will require proof of a current apprenticeship.

5. Donations

  • 5.1You may choose to add a donation to your purchase. EWIT is a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR); donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.

    5.2A receipt for your donation will be issued together with your ticket confirmation.

    5.3Donations are voluntary and non-refundable.

6. Refunds, transfers and cancellations (by you)

  • 6.1Tickets are non-refundable, except where a refund is required under the Australian Consumer Law, or where the Event is cancelled and not rescheduled (see clause 10).

    6.2Tickets may be transferred to another person up to 14 days before the Event by emailing [email protected] with the new attendee’s details.

    6.3If you are unable to attend, please contact us as early as possible.

7. Dietary requirements and accessibility

  • 7.1Dietary requirements and accessibility needs are collected at the time of purchase. So we can do our best to accommodate you, please provide dietary requirements at least 14 days before the Event, and any accessibility needs at least 30 days before the Event.

    7.2We will make reasonable efforts to meet requests but cannot guarantee that every requirement can be met.

8. Entry conditions

  • 8.1A valid ticket (digital or printed) is required for entry.

    8.2The Event is for guests aged 18 years and over. Anyone under 18 must be approved in advance by contacting EWIT directly at [email protected]. Photo ID may be required.

    8.3Responsible service of alcohol applies. We may refuse entry to, or remove, any person who is intoxicated, behaves unlawfully, or breaches clause 9 - without refund.

9. Code of conduct

  • 9.1EWIT is committed to a safe, inclusive and respectful environment. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

    9.2We may refuse entry to, or remove from the Event, any attendee who breaches this code - without refund.

10. Changes or cancellation by EWIT

  • 10.1We may change the date, time, venue, program or other details of the Event. If we do, your ticket will remain valid for the rescheduled Event.

    10.2If the Event is cancelled and not rescheduled, we will refund the ticket price (excluding donations).

    10.3We are not responsible for any other costs you may incur, such as travel or accommodation.

    10.4We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, venue closure, public health directions or other force majeure.

11. Photography, film and recording

  • 11.1Photography, filming and audio recording take place at the Event. By attending, you consent to being photographed, filmed and recorded, and to EWIT using that material for promotional, marketing and reporting purposes across our channels.

13. Liability

  • 13.1Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

    13.2To the extent permitted by law, EWIT is not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from your attendance at the Event, except to the extent caused by our negligence.

    13.3You are responsible for your personal belongings at the Event.

14. Governing law

  • 14.1These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

16. Event Communications

  • 16.1When you purchase a ticket, we will send you essential information about the Event - including your booking confirmation, reminders, and any important updates or changes. These communications are part of your booking and are sent to the email address and phone number you provide.
    16.2 Marketing communications about future EWIT events, news and opportunities are only sent where you have separately opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
